For the purpose of having a better understanding of the first Hong Kong and Macao Students’ learning and living condition， as well as helping them to create a harmonious study environment with the students in the mainland, our school held a Hong Kong and Macao Students’ Forum in the afternoon of Sep 23rd , in the conference room on the 5th floor of the Administrative Building. The conference was chaired by the head of the student department and many people have attended the meeting. They are vice-president Wang Yumei、representatives of  Student Affairs office、Foreign Affairs Office、Teaching Affairs Office、Security Office、Logistical Organization、Financial  Department、as well as the Hong Kong and Macao’s students

On the forum, every department representatives and leaders gave a short induction about their duties in their own department, and pointed out some important notice that the students from Hong Kong and Macao should pay close attention to. At the same time, the students also spoke their views freely in the forum. They not only appreciated the regard from the university and department had for them but also felt fortunate to have such an opportunity to study in the mainland, especially in Shaoguan University which has such a beautiful environment. What’s more, the students also put up some difficulties they met in both learning and living aspects. Aiming at their difficulties, some relevant departments gave a detailed response and further guidance.

At last, our school’s vice-president Wang Yumei gave an important speech. She, on behalf of our school, gave a warm welcome to the students from Hong Kong and Macao for choosing our school to study. Then , Wang gave a detailed account of our university’s  history、scale、characteristics of teaching and the cooperation with foreign university. At the end of the speech, Wang hoped that the students could adapt themselves to the new environment and master learning skills in college as soon as possible. What’s more, students should learn how to be a good person, how to study, how to be created, how to live in university and make an practical plan for the 4 years study, all of which can constantly help to improve themselves.
