To promote international exchanges, to encourage the international students who are interested in learning Chinese to study in Shaoguan University, we have worked out the International Student Excellence Scholarships program for international students in year 2011 Spring Semester; with 20 students can be awarded. The International Affairs Office of Shaoguan University is in charge of application, assessment and explanation.
II. Application Methods & Time
1. Applicant applies to Shaoguan University for the Application Form and other application matrials.
2. Deadline for application: January 20, 2011.
3. After 1 year of study, if the applicant is excellent in academics and willing to study on in Shaoguan University, he/she can re-apply for the scholarship before March 31, 2012.
III. Qualifications Required
The applicants must be healthy and excellent in all the academic studies in different semesters.
IV. Scholarship Categories
1. 10 Full-Scholarship: The first year’s full Tuition Fee
2. 10 Half-Scholarship: Half of the first year’s Tuition Fee
V. Materials Required for Application
Materials handed in must be based on truth and all the applicants must fill all the forms factually.1. SHAOGUAN UNIVERSITY APPLICATION FORM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS & APPLICATION FORM (FOR S.G.U. 2. Copy of valid passport.
3. Certificate of highest academic degree.(Teaching Affairs Division’s stamp is required)
4. School Report Card of the latest year or certificates of the rewards you got before. (Teaching Affairs Division’s stamp is required)
5. Study Plan, written in Chinese or English. (Understanding about your chose major and study plan in our University must be clearly stated. Words Required: Graduates from high-school, no less than 1000 words. Undergraduates, no less than 1500 words)
6. Letter of Recommendation from your former teacher. (Your teacher’s signature and contact address must be included.)
7. 5 photos.(3cm×4cm)
8. If you have any other favorable certificates, like HSK Certificate or Certificate of having learned Chinese, you can send to us at the same time.
VI. Admission and Notification
1. All the materials required above must reach the International Affairs Office of our university before Januray 20, 2011.
2. The International Affairs Office of Shaoguan University is in charge of assessing the application materials and the qualified applicants will be notified before February 25, 2011.
